This workshop, organized by the Stanford Environmental Justice Working Group, will help participants begin to integrate EJ education strategies into their teaching.
- Topic: Assessing positionality -- how identities (e.g., race, class, gender) intersect to convey or withhold power and privilege in particular settings and shape understanding of society, history, the environment, and social movements.
- Date: Friday, May 31st from 1-4 pm
- Location: Stanford Educational Farm
- Eligibility: The entire Stanford community
- Target Audience: Faculty and students who are interested in EJ teaching practices but may have limited experience and familiarity
